                                      Verona Experiences                       20/12/11

I would like to thank all that responded to my request for 'Verona  Experiences' of which I have found to be very useful and informative.

Many thanks again.

Hi Ken                                                                                         5/5/11

I hope you are well and many thanks for your very useful Wersi UK website.

I'm pleased to say I'm delighted with my new Verona, and I can honestly say it's the best thing I have ever bought.  It is worth every penny. The organ, synth and vocal sounds are fantastic. It feels so comfortable to sit at and play . It makes such a difference having all the controls within a sensible layout, unlike my last balancing act.

I would be grateful if you would sent me a copy of Rudi's 'gift of styles' to play with.

Many thanks.

All the best.  Colin Reeves

Request for help from - Bob Jones            25/11/11

I have sold my Helios and bought a Spectra with Livestyle, Gigatower 48 and Tiptronic. None of the Livestyle voices produces any sound.

The previous owner is an elderley gentleman and is unable to help. The Gigatower works but of course the Livestyle accompaniment is silent. The Tiptronic is not properly connected.  It appears that the TP1 board is missing.
I have the user manuals but nothing that shows any technical detail, wiring etc.

Any help would be appreciated.

Drum Error on Mon-Amour Style                30/3/11

Hi Ken

Here's a tricky one! When I put the aforementioned Mon-Amour style back into the organ database, it had developed a small [but nevertheless annoying] quirk:- When I use Intro 1+2 for it, there are 4 crashes on the cymbal and quite loudly.

As this now saved as a 'User' style, I have replaced the overdriven
guitars with Stratocasters; but the DRM1 shows an error and no amount of tinkering will change it at all [tried various drum stuff, it won't even alter the contents, let alone save a new drum!]

Given the lack of a programmers manual [and having read the Intnl
sites editing articles, do you know what I'm doing wrong here? It may be the lack of FL1+2 extensions software at the root of this but I am not proposing to buy those.

I am resorting to pushing the Drum Vol-slider to Off until the Intro
ends.

Thanks

Thomas Shevels

                                   New 'Patch' for OAS7 R44               26/3/11

WERSI has issued a patch for OAS 7.44 regarding the style player.

Visit the Download Centre and download the patch.

http://www.wersi.net/service.html

I recommend this for everyone. We're sending out a press release today... it has a few improvements to the OAA, Drums and Style player as well as fixing the problem with the FL styles.

Robert New

Correction Notes from the 'downloads' site

The following improvements for the FL2 Edition have been made in the patch:
-Corrected styles El Andaluz and El Bimbo dance.
Fixed assignment of the individual drum sounds.
Sound mappings in Fill1 Fill4 in some styles of the FL1 and FL2 Edition corrected.
-Occasionally occurring Callstack error message when sound changes prevents.
-Entrance Mischpultpresets in the FL1 and FL2 Edition improves.

Installation:
Unzip file, the WERSI Installer.exe on CD or USB stick
copy (in the respective root directory - for example, E: / WERSIInstaller.exe) and
just start the software installation from settings/system installations.

The new R44 had a change of location in the database. The styles haven't disappeared as such, but simply moved from the looks of it. In any case it possibly was an oversight of the r&d team.  I've already fed the info back to Uli and Joerg.

Robert.

Hi Ken

Referring to Thomas Shevels letter 13/311. As I have both FL1 & FL2, I checked what styles I have, I find I have Styles the FL1 & FL2 styles in the 800s.

Joe Sayers

I can only presume now that the F/L styles which I also thought were on the database and usable (which are not now on my instrument, either after  installing 'R44' or 'Styles 2011', not quite sure which as I never took note) are now only accessible if you have the F/L 1 - 2 packages activated like Joe

If you have done a recent 'Backup' it is possible that 'User mappings'  can be restored.

As a safeguard to any loss of any 'user mappings' as Thomas has experienced, I would suggest that a 'Backup' of all mappings are made prior to the installation of  'Styles 2011'. (this also includes the 'free trial') Then, even if switching from one to the other deletes 'user mappings' they should still be able to be restored from the 'Backup' copy on the hard drive.

Hi Ken                                                                                       13/3/11

Re those two faulty styles 803 and 818 [seagullJ + mon amor]        I think members ought to be told two things about Styles 2011:-

1] When you install the new styles, you can use the option of
returning to the old ones [and vice versa]. However, each time you do this swap it deletes ALL your 'User' styles button mapping  [ie
non-factory settings] in both directions! [I wiped 25 off my old
styles map!].

2: When you first install the new styles, it will delete ALL FL_
prefixed styles in the 800's numbers, [previously installed by R0.43]  PERMANENTLY [ie from the main OAS database!!!]     So you can't re-map them as they're gone.

That's where my two 'faulty' one were stored [803 + 818], I tried to
re-copy them from the old CD [R0.43] but they won't now work.
BEWARE!

Is there:-
A] any way of restoring these 2 styles [don't really use the rest]
B] Backing up styles to disc/USB stick?

Thomas Shevels

Thanks Thomas for this information  I have asked Robert New if he can pass on any comments on this topic.

Ken

Dear Ken                                                                                 12/2/11

I have just installed the 'Expressions Performance Registrations' pack consisting of some 50 Presets. The installation was quick and easy and they come with a 5 page leaflet in [Eng] from Wersi Direct UK which tells how to install and offers a few lines describing each Preset mix.

Make sure you install them into a blank area as they may      over-write existing User Presets  [which is where they install to.]
I must say these new mixtures are very good to excellent, particularly the Choirs.  The cross fade effects are most noticeable on the woodwind sounds. [effect not present on ALL presets.].  At about £45, they are well worth the cash.

Thomas Shevels

My thanks to Thomas for sending us the information. I did ask him if he had ever used 'Crossfade' in any of his own presets, he replied that he hadn't, so another new 'Wersi experience' for him.
